In two back-to-back interviews, artists Katy Martin and Linda Cummings ask each other about the dark side of beauty, and also respond to philosopher Elaine Scarry’s book, On Beauty and Being Just. Their writing follows a new essay by Scarry featured in this publication.

The book is based on a conference that took place at Yale Medical School, November 2011.
